Wish List

If you have any of these things around the house, we would love to use them in our classroom!

— Slipcover: These are expensive, but if you have an old one you're not using, please let me know. We have a big red couch in the classroom that the students LOVE, but it has definitely seen better days!

— Lamps: I would love to put a lamp in our reading corner.

— Post-Its: These allow students to mark their thoughts as they read and write.

— Post-It Chart Paper: This paper is great for the group work we will be doing.

— Highlighters (of various colors): Students will be highlighting examples of different types of writing.

— Sharpies

— 3 lb. bags of Jolly Ranchers: With 135 students, I fly through these!

— Manila folders, colored or not (100 count)

— Any young adult novels: As a new teacher, my classroom library is smaller. Because reading and writing are connected, I would love to offer students a variety of material.

— Magazines: If you have magazines that are appropriate for middle schoolers, I can use them as examples of types of writing and also to cut up when we make collages of the writing process.

Thanks so much!
