KC Star
The Kansas City Star has a great program, which offers free reading of a digital edition of the paper each day for students. To take advantage of this great opportunity:

1. Go to http://www.kcstarsie.com.
2. On the left side of the page, there is a place for the teacher to log in on the top. Underneath, there is a student log in. The teacher's last name is Rajewski. The class password is learn.
3. Once students have logged in, they can chose from a menu of stories. To see the daily e-paper, click on the part of the page that says "Click Here for E-Star."
4. Enjoy and learn!

Notes on various log-ons:
Parents and Students,

We will be blogging each Tuesday in class, but students can access the blogs from home if they choose to do so. They will have required weekly blog challenges that we will do in class. I will blog my own responses to the prompts, and I encourage you to think about the prompts too!

If you change your password, please write it down. Because of the space we have on the blog, I ask that you not add any pictures or videos.

If you see anything inappropriate on the blogs, please let me know. The students know that I gave them freedom so that comments are posted instantly, instead of waiting for me to moderate them for 135 students. However, this also puts more responsibility on the students that they are using words that are kind, inclusive, and Christlike.

Enjoy!

Miss Rajewski

  1. Did you change the passwords to our old kidblog accounts? I have tried every password I might have used and I still cant get on to my account.

PS. Don't bother trying to find out who I am, the account I am using to post this is a throwaway and will be deleted after this is posted.
PPS. you need to make this so people can post on it without making some random account.

    1. Hello Anonymous,

Thanks for checking. I can't reply with password information in a public comment. If you would like information, please email me with your name to sarah.rajewski@shoj.org. Thanks!

Hope your summer is going well.

  4. You've graduated and you're onto big new things! Because you will no longer be blogging for my class, I archived all of last year's posts.
